We understand that you have a lot of options for after school activities for your child and in these uncertain times that cost be a big factor.
Good news is Cub Scouts offer to make it possible to pay $0 out of pocket through popcorn sales, which goes from September-October. We also offer Camperships, for those who are unable to raise enough through popcorn sales, but make a best effort, after all the Cub Scout motto is “Do You Best”.
The break down of costs for Cub Scouts are as follows:
- Registration Fees
- Pack Dues
- Event Costs
Registration Fees
Insurance $15 is charged annually and is used to cover any accidents that may happen while at Scouting activities.
The Registration Fee $85 is an annual fee as well and collected on the anniversary of when you joined scouts.
The pack does not keep any of this money.
Pack Dues
Pack dues cover the cost of materials for Den meetings as well as purchasing the advancements that your Scout earns through out the year.
Pack dues can be paid each month, or all at once for the remainder of the year.
If your Scout joins later in the program year Pack dues will not be collected for previous months.
Event Costs
The Pack will plan activities beyond the Pack and Den meetings for most months of the program year. All of these activities are optional, some will not have a cost associated with them, and some will.
For each event we will send out information in advance and ask families to RSVP for the events. We pay for these events as a pack, for the ones that do have a cost associated with them we will also ask the family to pay for the event prior to the event. Some paid events will have a cut off date, meaning if you find you can’t make it after the cut off dated, the pack will not be able to refund you the cost of the event because we have already paid for you to attend.
